Toyota 4runner Conquers Imogene Pass: Our Day 3 Mountain Adventure!
In this video we head up and over Imogene pass to go from Ouray Colorado to Telluride Colorado. Imogene pass is a moderate mountain trail with unbelievable views all around, on our trip Black Bear pass was closed and this trail was basically the alternate route to get to Telluride when Black Bear pass is closed

This is day 2 of our Colorado, Utah adventure, in this video we cover Engineer pass, California Gulch, and Poughkeepsie. We started the day by heading up Engineer pass, and heading over to California Gulch ending up on Poughkeepsie which through us a bit of a curveball with an obstacle called the wall. For those of you that have never been on the wall, all I can say is the camera is never going...

I got out for a quick trip today to check the ice and see if I could harass some gills on my local little lake, the ice thickness last week was around 5" and today it was around 3" hopefully it stays below freezing at night so we do not lose any more ice

Gilbert MN ORV park border trail in the 5th Gen 4runner

This is a short easy video of a trail named the border trail at Gilbert MN ORV park. This is one of my second favorite trails at Gilbert, it is a nice and easy trail through the woods and highlights that not all of Gilbert is hard on your vehicle off roading, there is easier trails up there that you can do just to try them out.

ASMR Offroad in a Toyota 4runner, and boondock camping
Просмотров 165Год назад
In this video, me and my dog took the long way around to a really good boondock campsite on state forest land, that is right on a gorgeous river. The best thing about this campsite, is it is not far off the beaten path and is often overlooked by people because of the rough road coming into it, however once you tackle that, you are rewarded with an unreal view of the river and are all by yourself!

This is a re upload due to the original not fully uploading, I got out chasing some smallies on a small central MN river and got rewarded with some decent fish, all fish were caught on a tube just working the bottom. The river has been inundated with crawfish this summer and all my fish have come on bottom baits that mimic crawfish.

In this video we attempted the 1% trail at Gilbert MN OHV park and we all received some damage on the trail! The Wrangler completed the trail (mainly due to its narrower body but also its solid axles) and the 4runner and Land Cruiser had to turn around to avoid more damage. Great review. I just bought a Silver, 2024 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium...just like yours. In my case, I did the "Poor man's Supercharger"....TRD PRO K&N Cold Air Intake, Magnaflow Overland Exhaust and Banks Pedal Monster...approximately $2000 for everything. In stock trim, the Runner did fine pulling my landscape trailer with my Yamaha Grizzly in it with gas cans, ice chests, and all our gear, etc. up the Grapevine (highway 5) and into the mountains near Lake Isabella, Ca. But after the additions, Holy smokes! It's an entirely different vehicle. Highway gas mileage improved from an average of ~19.1 to about 21mpg at 75mph. With the Banks set to Sport Mode at 80%, the Runner has some serious giddyup! Way more fun to drive. However, even before this bolt ons, the 4Runner has plenty of power, but it is engineered for a smooth and tame delivery. I went with the 2024 instead of waiting for the 2025 b/c I simply do not want to deal with a 4 cylinder with turbos. I think that's a bad move on Toyota's part.

I've been fishing with a 11ft Ocean Kayak Trident for about 8 years and still cannot find something as light and nimble to upgrade to. I am on the same page about pedal drive, too heavy for what it's worth. The later models went up to 70lb but mine is older and closer to 50lb which is perfect to load on a truck or car. I have a Helix 5, crate on the back, and peddle controlled rudder that I've added. My only complaint is the seat being low and sitting in water half the time. I'm always looking for replacement ideas.

Not good, not enough clearance to use the peddle drive, but it's the same hull as my current kayak and they paddle good up stream, but the peddle drive is worthless to bring with, it takes up to much room for the limited use it would see

there is the thing, NOT EVERYONE FITS ALL KAYAKS!!! sometiumes paddle kayaks work better for others, and sometimes pedal drive works for others. for me i would be hybrid. pedal for long hauls, and i am looking at one that the rudder flips up on the kayak. that way i can get into the nooks and crannys. this is a very good review

At the beginning of the video you say "It's not great on highway, not great mileage, it's not the best rock crawler but it can do it... mud, but it can do it" But do not forget - people buy this SUV not only for offroad. People buy a 4Runner for the RELIABILITY of this car. The RELIABILITY of the 1GR-FE engine, a very-very good engine which will last for many years, for the RELIABILITY of a very good 5-speed transmission, simple and very suitable for the 4Runner powertrain and offroad. If I drive it on the highway I don't care if it does 19 or 20 MPG comparing to the Highlander/RAV4 that does 30 MPG. That 30% gas difference doesn't matter for me. I drive a 4Runner! much reliable, a car capable of any weather change even if I will start driving from Florida up to Edmonton, Canada then I will get there no matter how the weather changes and road conditions are.

If you roll your kayak in a foot of water, you've no business being on any kayak, pedal or paddle. The biggest benefit of a pedal kayak for me is wind control. I can fish while using the pedal to maintain position during a windy day. Also, playing a big fish is easier if it drags you around the lake since it frees up your hands.

      @RiverRatsTotalOutdoors Год назад

I am currently running 255/80r 17's and love them. They are a bit taller than your average 285/79r17 and narrower they are often referred to as the tall skinnies. Some people hate the look of them, but I honestly think its near impossible to tell the look apart from a standard 33x12 They also don't stick outside of the fender which is huge for me because I hate when I throw stuff all over the paint and the rest of the truck, and I think the truck looks better when the wheels tuck inside the body like they should instead of sitting way outside the body. In this video I had 275/70 r17s on for some of it and didn't mind them but they were hard to find in that size and wanted a little taller for more clearance

4Runner might not have amazing highway ride and not great gas mileage, but the reliability and cost of ownership will quickly make up for that. Not to mention how many years and miles you’ll own it for and then sell it for more than you think if you need to. Also man I think your tires are for sure the problem with your cruise control. I have a 2022 and it doesn’t do that at all

Most common one for you freshwater and inland water guys is weeds and the draft and all good points I'm sure an efficient paddle stroke for a seasoned paddler is more natural over a longer distance. I have a seastream angler 120 pd mostly coastal, but we have a fast run of tide, and it handles it with ease but in the same place with the 14" paddle i am working hard to tread water at times. If i was on flatter water without the tide i would take the paddle and the main reason is deck space and most people never mention it. The space to work on your bait and rigs on a console not undoable on a peddle and if you only spin not such an issue but worth considering also the rails on a peddle need to be clear of your legs or they are almost useless. Fair play for leaving the end in it happens. 👏👏👍👍

I think the 998 is the upgraded version of the drill in this video, I am pretty sure that has the flex volt advantage, the 996 does not and at the time was the largest drill they made. My buddy upgraded to the 998 last year and it performs flawless. I also use the 8" strikemaster strike flite now with the plate and they are an awesome combo, never slows down and just chews through ice, Probably capable of more holes with the light flight then the drill used in this video
